The pharmaceutical industry develops, produces, and markets drugs or pharmaceuticals licensed for use as medications. Pharmaceutical companies are allowed to deal in generic and/or brand medications and medical devices. They are subject to a variety of laws and regulations regarding the patenting, testing and ensuring safety and efficiency and marketing of transliteration of drugs pharmaceutical.

  A counterfeiting of pharmaceutical products are produced and sold with the purpose to deceptively represent its origin, authenticity or effectiveness, this medicines are contaminated with the incorrect or non active element. A counterfeit drug may contain inappropriate quantities of active ingredients, which can be inappropriately processed within, or may contain ingredients that are not on the label, and is often sold in the market with imprecise, false, or bogus packaging and classification. Medicines which are intentionally mislabeled in order to deceive consumers are therefore counterfeit.
Hadron Techs has come up with RFID technology which is projected to authenticate medicines as genuine all the way through the supply chain. The system uses Radio Frequency Identification to match each medicine container with its corresponding pedigree. During manufacture, or at any time prior to distribution, RFID tags can be written with the information or an already embedded code which is only in the read mode can be used to identify products. These codes generated are unique to a product at one or multiple levels of packaging and stored along with related data which is linked to the database and is by this means available for unique authentication.

Pharmaceutical is one of the biggest research contributors to human and veterinary medicine. This includes basic research into chemotherapy but includes also the otherwise neglected fields of formulations, packaging, dosing regimens and dispensing information. The industry also has access to the biggest database relating to chemicals and their uses.
